ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Sell the company's products/services to accounts by contacting both established customers and developing new prospects.
* Diligently maintain systems, incl. adding customers and customer information, logging customer calls and meetings, creating and updating sales opportunities, and capturing marketing event leads.
* Maintain a working knowledge of all products, services and policies.
* Participate in all required specialized training for specific product/ service line(s)
* Develop an effective Territory Plan to ensure that all customers in the given territory are proactively engaged with on a regular basis.
* Manage a quarterly Territory Management Plan including opportunities and sales strategies.
* Attend customer conferences, networking events and other industry events to build contact lists, showcase our products and promote products and services.
* Maintain customer appointments and perform "cold" calls requiring professional business acumen.
* Conduct product demonstrations to potential customers as well as provide product training and support when needed.
* Research business and trade media to identify new potential customers in our industry
* Establish customer needs and requirements for Company products and services.
* Initiate all administrative details to execute the sales process flow.
* Share customer problems/concerns with your supervisor for quality resolution.
* Proactively and collaboratively engage with other internal departments
* From time to time, attend regional or international sales meetings.
* Perform all other related duties as assigned.
The following are minimum qualifications related to this position:
* Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A. /B.S.) or equivalent in life sciences, sales or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
* Experience: Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience, with at least 2 of those years having direct client interface.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above
* Certification/Licensure: None.
* Other: Excellent interpersonal, customer relationship and leadership skill
