A fast-growing life sciences company supporting biopharma, biotech, and research organizations is seeking a Marketing Lead, Events & Demand Generation to take ownership of its U.S. event marketing program while helping build and scale a broader marketing function.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys both execution and strategy-leading major industry events today while expanding into areas such as digital marketing, content, marketing operations, product marketing, and brand development over time.
The Opportunity
The immediate focus of this role is managing a high-impact conference and demand generation program, including trade shows, webinars, lead management, and performance tracking. Beyond that, there is significant opportunity to grow into a broader marketing leadership role as the organization continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities
Events & Trade Show Management
- Own the annual calendar of major industry conferences, tradeshows, and scientific meetings
- Manage event budgets and track ROI across all activities
- Negotiate exhibit space, sponsorship packages, and vendor agreements
- Coordinate logistics including shipping, booth services, vendors, and deadlines
- Evaluate event performance and recommend future participation strategies
On-Site Event Leadership
- Lead booth operations and staffing at key conferences
- Prepare event briefings, messaging materials, and attendee engagement plans
- Train internal teams on event objectives, lead capture, and booth best practices
- Represent the company professionally and engage with scientific and industry stakeholders
Webinar & Demand Generation Programs
- Manage webinar planning, promotion, execution, and follow-up
- Coordinate speakers, rehearsals, and technical logistics
- Drive registrations and attendance through targeted promotional campaigns
- Support lead nurturing and demand generation initiatives
Lead Management & Reporting
- Manage post-event lead processing and CRM data integrity
- Route qualified leads to the appropriate commercial teams
- Track event and campaign metrics including leads generated, cost-per-lead, and pipeline influence
- Deliver performance reports and recommendations to leadership
Growth Opportunities

Qualifications
- 2-5 years of event marketing experience, preferably within life sciences, biotech, healthcare, or other B2B technical environments
- Proven experience managing trade shows or conference programs
- Experience working with marketing automation or CRM platforms such as HubSpot
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field
- Scientific aptitude and the ability to communicate technical concepts to research-focused audiences
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, growing organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (M.S. or MBA)
- Experience marketing scientific products, research tools, reagents, antibodies, proteins, or related technologies
- Knowledge of digital marketing, content creation, SEO, or paid media
- Experience with analytics, campaign reporting, and marketing performance measurement
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and modern marketing technologies
