EPM Scientific are partnering with a fast-growing specialty polymer and PVC additives manufacturer supplying performance materials to a broad base of polymer processors and compounders across India and key export markets.
To support continued expansion of its Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE) portfolio, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Sales Manager with deep technical-commercial expertise and a proven network across the PVC value chain.
This role is best suited to a hands-on sales professional who understands both the application-driven nature of CPE and the commercial dynamics of PVC compounding and processing markets.
The Role
The Sales Manager will take ownership of revenue growth for the CPE product line, driving new customer acquisition while strengthening relationships with established accounts.
You will be responsible for developing opportunities from early-stage technical discussions and trials through to long-term commercial supply, working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure successful market adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to expand CPE usage across priority PVC segments
- Engage directly with PVC processors, compounders, and manufacturers to identify new opportunities
- Convert laboratory and plant trials into stable, repeat commercial business
- Manage and grow relationships with key accounts and distribution partners
- Position different CPE grades across applications including pipes, profiles, cables, hoses, footwear, sheets, and films
- Lead technical-commercial discussions on formulation, performance, and value positioning
- Coordinate with technical and production teams to support approvals and customer onboarding
- Track competitor activity, pricing movements, and broader market trends
- Prepare sales forecasts, pipelines, and market intelligence updates
- Travel extensively to develop customer relationships and expand geographic coverage
Candidate Profile
- Strong background in sales or business development within specialty chemicals or polymer additives
- Hands-on experience selling Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE) or closely related PVC impact modifiers
- Established network across PVC manufacturers, compounders, and processors
- Solid understanding of PVC compounding, applications, and customer buying behaviour
- Commercially driven with a track record of developing customers and closing complex sales
- Confident communicator with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable working autonomously in a target-driven, growth-focused environment
Requirements
- 5-10 years' experience in technical or commercial sales within PVC additives or specialty polymers
- Degree in chemistry, polymers, plastics, or a related technical or commercial discipline
- Willingness to travel extensively as required by the role
