Clinical Trial Manager

Clinical Trial Manager | San Mateo, CA

Base Salary: $130k-$155k | Full-Time | On-Site

An early-stage diagnostics biotech is building a next-gen precision platform aimed at transforming how patients are matched to therapies, bringing a much more data-driven edge to clinical decision-making. They're a small, highly technical team operating with real momentum, already translating innovative science into tangible clinical impact faster than you'd expect at this stage. It's a high-ownership environment where you'd get in early, work closely with leadership, and help shape both the clinical strategy and the company's trajectory as it scales. This is a chance to be able to report directly into Exec Level leadership and make an impact on a wider scope than just routine responsibilities.

What You'll Lead

  • Own end-to-end execution of assigned trials, from startup through closeout, ensuring timelines, quality, and deliverables are met
  • Lead site operations including feasibility, activation, enrollment tracking, and ongoing site/CRO communication
  • Oversee CROs and vendors day-to-day, managing performance, scope, budgets, and issue escalation
  • Drive inspection readiness through TMF oversight, GCP compliance, and proactive risk/issue management
  • Partner cross-functionally (Regulatory, QA, Data, Safety) to support data quality, safety reporting, and study milestones
  • Maintain operational oversight through metrics, dashboards, and trackers while supporting a fast-paced, scaling team environment

What You Bring

  • 5-8 years of clinical operations experience with hands-on ownership of studies from startup through closeout
  • Proven execution across multiple trials (2-3+) with strong site management and vendor/CRO coordination
  • Experience in a fast-paced, early-stage environment with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience with blood-based diagnostic tests, biospecimen management, or central laboratory operations
  • Strong communication and systems experience (CTMS, eTMF, EDC), with a track record of identifying/escalating issues and driving execution
