AI Engineer (Generative AI & Data Automation)

We are looking for a hands-on AI Engineer to support the implementation of Claude-based AI solutions across R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing environments.

The role focuses on automating repetitive data processes, unlocking historical data, and improving data analysis workflows. This is a highly practical role requiring daily coding, rapid prototyping, and direct interaction with real-world data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Automating repetitive data preparation and analysis workflows to reduce manual effort
  • Building systems that enable access to and reuse of historical data across R&D and manufacturing
  • Developing AI-driven tools using Claude (LLM) to support data analysis and decision-making
  • Creating intelligent search and analysis capabilities across structured and unstructured data
  • Writing production-level code to build, test, and deploy AI solutions
  • Developing and maintaining data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and output generation
  • Supporting analysis of manufacturing data to identify trends, patterns, and key scenarios
  • Contributing to simplification of quality processes (e.g. documentation, reporting)
  • Rapidly prototyping and iterating AI use cases within a short delivery timeframe

Key Requirements

  • Strong hands-on programming experience (ideally Python)
  • Experience working with Generative AI / LLMs (Claude strongly preferred)
  • Proven ability to build and deploy real AI applications, not just prototypes
  • Experience with data processing, APIs, or workflow automation
  • Comfortable coding daily in a fast-moving, exploratory environment
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with ability to translate business needs into solutions

Nice to have:

  • Experience with data retrieval or knowledge systems (e.g. RAG-type approaches)
  • Exposure to scientific, industrial, or manufacturing data environments
  • Experience working in regulated industries (medtech, pharma, diagnostics)

NOTE: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Candidates must have the right to work in Switzerland (e.g., EU citizens or valid Swiss work permit).
