Supplier Quality Engineer

EPM Scientific is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to support one of our leading clients in the medical device sector on a contract basis

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and qualify new and existing suppliers in accordance with regulatory and internal quality standards (ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820)
  • Lead and support FMEA activities (Design and Process) to identify and mitigate potential risks
  • Develop and maintain Control Plans, Inspection Plans, and Quality Agreements with suppliers
  • Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with tolerance requirements, material specifications, and critical-to-quality (CTQ) characteristics
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Manufacturing, and Regulatory teams
  • Act as a key quality representative during design transfer from R&D to manufacturing, ensuring all supplier-related quality requirements are met

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing or a regulated industry
  • Strong knowledge of risk management tools
  • Familiarity with GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and metrology
  • Excellent communication and supplier management skills
