Technical/ Sales Applications Specialist

Location: Germany (Remote Field-Based Role)
Territory: DACH Region
Travel: Up to 50%

About the Opportunity

A growing international life sciences organisation is seeking a Technical Applications Specialist to support customers across the DACH region. This is a customer-facing role combining scientific expertise, technical consulting, training, and commercial support.

Working closely with customers, distributors, and internal teams, you will help ensure the successful implementation and ongoing use of innovative laboratory technologies within clinical and research environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver product demonstrations, user training, and technical presentations.
  • Provide scientific and technical support to customers before and after implementation.
  • Build strong relationships with laboratories, healthcare professionals, and distribution partners.
  • Support sales teams by identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical customer issues.
  • Gather customer feedback and communicate market insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and opportunities within CRM systems.
  • Represent the business at conferences, workshops, and industry events.
  • Work cross-functionally with commercial, technical, and product teams to support customer success.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in applications support, technical support, laboratory environments, customer-facing scientific roles, or field-based positions.
  • Experience in a Medical Device company (Digital Pathology experience preferred)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to a range of audiences.
  • Commercial awareness and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluent English and German required; additional European languages are advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout the DACH region.
