Role Overview
We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer with deep technical expertise to join our advanced medical device manufacturing site on a 12-month contract. This role demands strong analytical skills and hands-on experience with complex automated systems, ensuring maximum equipment uptime and compliance with stringent regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute diagnostic analysis and root cause investigations on high-precision automated production lines.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electromechanical systems, including hydraulic circuits, pneumatic systems, and PLC-controlled automation.
- Optimize machine performance through parameter tuning, sensor calibration, and control loop adjustments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement continuous improvement projects, leveraging OEE metrics, Six Sigma, and reliability engineering principles.
- Ensure all interventions comply with GMP, ISO 13485, and FDA regulations, maintaining detailed technical documentation.
- Support equipment validation and qualification activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) for new and existing machinery.
Technical Requirements
- Expertise in hydraulics and automation, including servo systems, proportional valves, and hydraulic power units.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting (Siemens S7 preferred).
- Familiarity with SCADA systems, industrial networks (Profibus, Ethernet/IP), and robotics integration.
- Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and apply advanced diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, vibration analysis, thermal imaging).
- Experience in regulated environments (medical devices).
- Fluent in French; English proficiency is an asset.
