A leading global pharmaceutical company is hiring for a Director, Medical Affairs to provide scientific and medical leadership across its Critical Care portfolio - overseeing field-based medical activities, fostering effective relationships with key opinion leaders, and contributing to research and development strategy. Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scientific relationships with external KOLs and experts as well as internal cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support global research and development initiatives and strategy.
- Represent the company at medical and scientific meetings/conferences.
- Provide strategic leadership for and contribute to the development of advisory boards, congresses, medical presentations, and scientific symposia.
- Develop and deliver scientific trainings for internal teams.
- Review promotional content for medical and scientific accuracy.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to support post-marketing studies and investigator-initiated trials.
- Evaluate grant requests and scientific literature.
- Track requests for medical information and ensure scientifically accurate responses to medical inquiries
- Manage operational budget and resource allocation.
Required Education and Skills
- MD with specialty training in Critical Care (anesthesia, trauma, internal medicine, surgery, etc.) is required
- 5+ years of clinical practice experience is required
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred
- Strong team building and project management skills are required
- Ability to travel upwards of 50% is required
Compensation and Benefits
- Base Salary: $280,000 - $350,000
- Annual Bonus: 20%
- PTO: 5 weeks/per year
