Technical Sales Manager - Animal Nutrition
Your Role: Technical Sales Manager - France
(Hybrid, based in Brittany, France )
Reporting to the Western Europe Area Manager, you will play an active role in developing the commercial activity of specialty products with a client base of animal nutrition manufacturers.
Your Responsibilities
- Actively contribute to the development of specialty products within your assigned territory
- Gather and analyse information related to the animal nutrition market (market studies, technical and competitive intelligence, regulatory monitoring, opportunities, threats, growth perspectives) in order to provide recommendations to the Marketing & Innovation department
- Identify customer needs, objectives, and potential issues in order to define and propose the most suitable specialty product offering
- Build loyalty among existing customers by establishing strong, trusted relationships (integrators, feed manufacturers, premix manufacturers, distributors, etc.)
- Highlight the advantages of specialty products through technical presentations and offer personalised support
- Set up customer trials to demonstrate product effectiveness
- Contribute to marketing activities for specialty products (advertising, participation in events and trade fairs in the animal nutrition sector, testimonials, etc.)
- Act as the technical reference for your geographical area: support and train sales teams to enhance their technical knowledge
- Ensure follow‑up on commercial contracts, conduct regular customer visits, and monitor customer satisfaction and evolving needs
- Negotiate commercial contracts and oversee their implementation
- Prospect and acquire new customer accounts
- Guarantee the correct execution and fulfilment of customer orders
- Produce sales reporting on your activity and market using the company CRM (customer visits, projects, contact details, client information, etc.)
Your Profile
- An agricultural/animal production engineer with a genuine passion for the sector
- At least 2 years of commercial experience in the animal nutrition industry
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong communication abilities
- Fluent in English and French
- Persuasive, with strong negotiation skills
- Willing to spend 50% of your time travelling for business
