Technical Project Lead - Embedded
A Swiss MedTech company is seeking a senior engineer to become the long-term technical successor to a highly experienced incumbent responsible for a well-established infusion pump platform. This is a hands-on technical leadership role with broad ownership across software, electronics, system architecture and product development.
Responsibilities:
- Own and drive the development of an established medical device platform across its full lifecycle.
- Lead product improvements, new features, future product generations and regulatory updates.
- Act as the key technical authority across embedded software, electronics, connectivity and system architecture.
- Maintain and evolve existing products rather than redesigning from scratch. * Support development in accordance with ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO 14971 and IEC 60601.
- Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders on technical decisions and product strategy.
Requirements:
- Strong embedded software and firmware experience (C, microcontrollers, real-time systems).
- Background in electronics, including schematics, testing, analogue and digital circuits.
- Experience with system architecture and complex product development.
- Knowledge of connectivity technologies such as TCP/IP, RS232 and networking.
- Exposure to mechanics, fluid dynamics and medical device development is advantageous.
- Pragmatic, hands-on engineer with strong problem-solving skills and high ownership.
- Comfortable working independently across multiple disciplines in a small team environment.
- Fluent German and good English.
