Location: Greater Los Angeles Area
Job Type: Full-Time | Preclinical Research | Early-Stage Biotech

About the Company

We are an early-stage biotechnology company founded in 2023, backed by a top-tier venture capital firm, aiming to transform the delivery of biotherapeutics to the central nervous system (CNS). We are advancing a receptor-mediated delivery platform with applications across antibodies, peptides, and oligonucleotides. Our lead program is currently in non-human primate (NHP) studies, with additional discovery-stage programs in development.

Our team is composed of experienced leaders from top pharmaceutical and biotech companies, and we operate with a collaborative, science-first culture. We are growing rapidly and looking for passionate scientists to join us at this exciting stage of our journey.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Associate/Associate Scientist to join our In Vivo Research team. This individual will play a key role in executing and supporting preclinical studies focused on CNS-targeted biologics. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in in vivo pharmacology, bioanalytical techniques, and CNS-relevant models, with a strong foundation in large molecule drug development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and analyze in vivo pharmacology studies in rodent models, with a focus on CNS delivery.
  • Perform necropsy and tissue collection for downstream analysis (e.g., ELISA, qPCR, histology).
  • Conduct bioanalytical assays including ELISA, RT-qPCR, and other relevant techniques to assess pharmacokinetics and biodistribution.
  • Support histological analysis of CNS tissues, including sample preparation and imaging.
  • Maintain and culture primary cells, including CNS-relevant cell types; experience with iPSCs is a plus.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external CROs to ensure timely execution of studies.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed experimental records in compliance with internal protocols and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Molecular Biology, or a related field with 3-6+ years of relevant industry or academic experience.
  • Proven expertise in in vivo pharmacology techniques, including dosing, tissue collection, and behavioral assessments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with bioanalytical assays (ELISA, RT-qPCR) and histological techniques.
  • Experience with CNS drug delivery, neurodegenerative disease models, or large molecule therapeutics (antibodies, oligos, peptides) is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with primary cell culture; experience with iPSCs is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
