Development Engineer
EPM Scientific is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development Engineer to support one of our leading clients in the medical device sector on a contract basis
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the design, construction, and commissioning of mechanical prototypes to drive product innovation and refinement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support supplier process validation activities for critical system components.
- Develop and execute robust test methods, ensuring alignment with verification and validation protocols and regulatory expectations.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including test reports, design files, and regulatory submission materials.
- Conduct and document both laboratory and field testing in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Production teams to ensure mechanical components are optimized for manufacturability and performance.
- Take ownership of risk management activities, contributing to product safety and compliance throughout the development lifecycle
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Skilled in CAD (Solidworks)
- Experience in supplier process validation
- Extensive experience in the Medical Device industry
