Quality Engineering Manager

Role: Quality Engineering Manager

Location: Chicago, IL

Salary: $120,000 - $140,000

EPM is partnered with an establish medical equipment manufacuturer which is already revenue-generating and bringing in over $1B+ annually. They are looking to bring on a Quality Engineering Manager to be thier site Quality leader and oversee all aspects of the Quality Systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction for all quality and regulatory activities, ensuring strong alignment with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Oversee essential quality system functions such as CAPA, training, documentation, and issue/complaint management.
  • Lead and mentor a multi‑level quality team across several buildings, improving processes and resolving root‑cause issues.
  • Represent the site in customer interactions, supplier discussions, and internal/external audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
  • Several years of experience in quality leadership within a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device, aerospace, automotive, or similar).
  • Hands‑on exposure to precision machining or metal‑based manufacturing processes.
  • Solid understanding of compliance frameworks and quality system audits.

Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with inspection technologies, including CMM and related measurement systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and work within engineering documentation standards.
  • Proficiency with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP/QMS platforms) and Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Experience using statistical or analytical software for data‑driven decision‑making.
