This role is based in Switzerland and offers a hands‑on opportunity to support the discovery and development of next‑generation protein‑based biotherapeutics within a collaborative and fast‑growing biotech environment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Performing extensive hands‑on laboratory work across protein characterization, functional assay development, and protein production to support therapeutic discovery programs.
  • Profiling therapeutic candidates using a range of biochemical and biophysical techniques.
  • Developing, executing, and optimizing protein assays, including ELISA and BLI, as well as additional analytical methods such as SEC, IEX, HIC, and circular dichroism (CD).
  • Conducting small‑scale microbial protein expression and protein purification to support analytical and early discovery workflows.
  • Analysing, interpreting, and documenting experimental data; preparing reports and presenting results to internal teams and external collaborators.
  • Working closely with cross‑functional teams, maintaining high scientific standards, and adapting efficiently to shifting project priorities.

An ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

  • A degree in life sciences (e.g. biochemistry, protein science, biotechnology) or equivalent laboratory technician training, with 6+ years of relevant professional and industry experience.
  • Proven, hands‑on expertise in microbial protein expression, protein purification, and protein characterisation.
  • Solid experience supporting biotherapeutic discovery and therapeutic candidate profiling.
  • Ability to work independently, proactively, and accurately in a fast‑paced biotech environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset.
  • Full professional proficiency in English, written and spoken. German is an advantage.

What We Offer:

  • An exciting opportunity to take on responsibility and grow both professionally and personally within an early‑stage biotechnology company.
  • Direct involvement in shaping scientific programs and contributing to the development of the organisation.
  • A diverse and technically rich role within a highly innovative and cooperative environment.

If this opportunity interests you, please apply!

NOTE: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Candidates must have the right to work in Switzerland (e.g. EU citizenship or a valid Swiss work permit).
