We're recruiting on behalf of our clients for a PFAS Specialist Engineer to lead compliance and supplier engagement efforts related to PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances). This role is critical in ensuring regulatory alignment (REACH, RoHS, MDR) and supporting the transition to PFAS-free materials in life-saving technologies.
This role is for an initial 6 months with the possibility of extension after, should you and the client agree.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee PFAS compliance across medical device product lines
- Educate suppliers on PFAS risks, regulations, and alternatives
- Identify and track high-risk materials; maintain compliance databases
- Recommend PFAS-free materials and support revalidation processes
- Act as the main contact for PFAS-related queries and audits
Your Profile:
- 3+ years in chemical compliance, supplier quality, or sustainability
- Engineering background (chemical, materials, or biomedical preferred)
- Strong knowledge of PFAS regulations and medical device standards
- Fluent in English; French or German a plus
- Excellent communication and data management skills
- Manufacturing experience a plus
- Knowledge of FDA
- Experience in a matrix environment
