Job Summary:
The Medical Director - Early Clinical Development plays a pivotal role in advancing the oncology early development portfolio by setting the vision and strategic direction for assigned programs. This position ensures a medically and clinically sound end-to-end development strategy across various modalities and indications, from preclinical stages through transition to late-stage development. The Medical Director - Early Clinical Development provides clinical-scientific leadership for global development programs, drives clinical strategy execution, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to maximize product value.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary clinical leader for global programs, ensuring high-quality deliverables and timely milestones.
- Develop clinical strategies addressing unmet medical needs based on scientific hypotheses.
- Oversee preclinical evaluation and guide asset development to enable informed clinical decisions.
- Review and align key study documents with development plans and target product profiles.
- Maintain expertise in scientific, regulatory, and development landscapes for precision oncology.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including academic partners, health authorities, and advocacy groups.
- Lead strategic initiatives and foster innovation within early clinical development.
- Empower matrix teams, promote collaboration, and drive accountability across portfolio deliverables.

Qualifications:
- M.D. with board certification in oncology/hematology or related subspecialties; experience in direct patient care.
- Proven scientific excellence with peer-reviewed publications.
- Extensive drug development experience, including early-stage development.
- Knowledge across multiple modalities (small molecules, biologics).
- Experience with global regulatory interactions and strategic medical planning.
- Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
- Fluency in English; additional European language is an asset.
