As we expand our footprint in Europe, we are seeking a dynamic Head of Business Development to shape our growth strategy, forge strategic partnerships, and drive commercial success across the region.
Role Overview
The Head of Business Development will be responsible for developing and executing the European growth strategy, establishing commercial channels, and fostering relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). This senior leadership role requires a proven track record in sales and marketing within the medical device sector, strong knowledge of regulatory pathways, and the ability to scale operations in both established and emerging markets. Experience in start-up environments is highly valued, while exposure to large multinational MedTech companies is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Market Expansion
- Define and implement a comprehensive BD strategy for Europe aligned with global objectives.
- Identify new market opportunities and partnerships to accelerate adoption of the company's technologies.
- Develop and manage distribution channels and strategic alliances across the region.
Commercial Leadership
- Drive revenue growth through direct sales initiatives and channel development.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to design and execute campaigns that enhance brand visibility and product uptake.
- Establish pricing, reimbursement, and market access strategies in coordination with regulatory and market access teams.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with KOLs, clinical leaders, and healthcare institutions to support product adoption and clinical advocacy.
- Represent the company at key industry events, conferences, and advisory boards.
Regulatory & Compliance
- Work closely with regulatory affairs to ensure compliance with EU MDR and other regional requirements.
- Support clinical and market access activities to enable timely product launches and approvals.
Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing BD team as the European footprint grows.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA preferred.
Experience:
- 10+ years in business development, sales, or marketing within the medical device or MedTech industry.
- Proven success in European markets; APAC experience is a strong plus.
- Track record of building commercial channels, negotiating strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth.
- Familiarity with regulatory affairs and reimbursement processes in Europe.
Preferred Background:
- Experience in large multinational organizations is preferred.
- Strong network of KOLs and clinical stakeholders in cardiology or interventional therapies.
