Associate Director Content Operations

Associate Director, Content Operations (US)

About the Role

We are seeking a senior Content Operations leader to build and scale a best-in-class content operations engine supporting US commercial and marketing teams within a highly regulated industry.

This role owns the end-to-end lifecycle of derivative content-from intake and planning through production, review, adaptation, and deployment. You will be responsible for designing a modern, scalable operation that delivers high-quality content faster, more efficiently, and with measurable business impact.

Sitting at the center of the content ecosystem, this position blends strategy, operations, technology, and governance. You'll play a pivotal role in reshaping how content is created, managed, optimized, and activated-leveraging data, automation, and AI to improve speed to market while maintaining quality and compliance.

You will report into a senior omnichannel or commercial excellence leader.

What You'll Lead

  • Partner with internal teams and external agencies to ensure consistent adoption of content standards

Operational Excellence

  • Design and manage end-to-end workflows across briefing, production, approval, localization, and delivery
  • Establish operational KPIs focused on throughput, efficiency, cost, and quality
  • Partner closely with compliance and review teams to enable right-first-time execution
  • Identify bottlenecks and continuously optimize processes to reduce friction and waste

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Act as a trusted partner to marketing, digital, analytics, legal, regulatory, and agency teams
  • Balance creativity with structure by bringing operational discipline without slowing innovation
  • Influence without authority and align diverse stakeholders around shared ways of working

Technology & Enablement

  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize content technology platforms including DAM, CMS, workflow tools, and AI solutions
  • Ensure seamless integration across the marketing technology stack
  • Enable data-driven content decisions through performance insights and decisioning tools
  • Build hybrid workflows that combine human creativity with machine-driven acceleration

Governance & Quality

  • Establish clear governance models, roles, and ownership across content operations
  • Define brand, quality, and performance standards and ensure consistent execution
  • Drive adoption of new tools, processes, and operating models across teams

Who You Are

You are a strategic operator who thrives in complexity. You bring a mix of systems thinking, analytical rigor, and creative empathy, and you're energized by building scalable solutions that last. You are comfortable leading transformation, influencing senior stakeholders, and translating ambiguity into actionable operating models.
