Title: Rare Disease Territory Manager

Location: Mid-Atlantic Territory

Salary: 200k + Bonus + Equity + Comprehensive Benefits

A rapidly growing commercial-stage biotechnology company is seeking a Rare Disease Clinical Specialist to support the continued expansion of its rare disease franchise. This is a unique opportunity to join a highly specialized field team focused on educating healthcare providers and supporting patients with historically under-served genetic disorders.

This organization has built a strong reputation for innovation, patient advocacy, and addressing significant unmet medical needs. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving disease state awareness, building relationships with key specialists, and supporting the adoption of a first-in-class therapy within a complex rare disease market.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute disease state and branded education programs within a designated territory.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, specialists, and targeted healthcare providers.
  • Deliver clinically focused and scientifically accurate messaging to healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with patient services and cross-functional partners to support patient access and adherence initiatives.
  • Support educational programs, speaker events, and healthcare professional training activities.
  • Partner closely with Medical Affairs to ensure appropriate handling of medical information requests.
  • Represent the company at regional and national conferences, congresses, and educational meetings.
  • Maintain accurate territory planning, activity reporting, and CRM documentation.
  • Execute territory business plans and maximize available resources to achieve business objectives.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory, legal, and company policies.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of specialty pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales experience.
  • Rare disease, specialty, or highly specialized therapeutic area experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex customer segments and specialty healthcare providers.
  • Strong ability to understand and communicate complex scientific and clinical data.
  • Experience building relationships with specialists, academic centers, and referral networks.
  • Proven track record of consistent sales performance and territory growth.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to thrive within a fast-paced, collaborative, and evolving commercial environment.
  • Strong business acumen, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the territory.
