We are supporting an established international pharmaceutical company in the search for a Medical Advisor to join their Medical Affairs team in Germany.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Medical Affairs professional who enjoys operating at the intersection of science, strategy, and stakeholder engagement. The position offers significant visibility across the organisation and the opportunity to influence the medical direction of a growing portfolio within CNS and substitution therapy.

Working closely with the Country Medical Director and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, you will play a key role in shaping local medical strategy, generating actionable insights, engaging with healthcare professionals, and supporting the successful positioning of key brands in the German market.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and execution of local medical strategy
  • Provide scientific and medical expertise across the organisation
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders
  • Support scientific exchange through congresses, meetings, speaker programmes, and educational initiatives
  • Identify evidence gaps and contribute to evidence-generation activities
  • Gather, interpret, and communicate medical insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Review and approve medical and scientific materials in line with compliance requirements
  • Partner closely with Commercial, Marketing, Sales, and Global Medical Affairs teams
  • Deliver scientific training and education internally to broaden disease-area knowledge
  • Represent Medical Affairs at national and international congresses and scientific events
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations, industry codes, and company policies

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Medical Advisor, Medical Manager, or similar Medical Affairs position within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in CNS, substitution therapy, mental health, pain management, or related therapeutic areas preferred
  • Strong understanding of the German pharmaceutical market and industry regulations
  • Degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, or a related scientific discipline
  • Ability to analyse, interpret, and communicate complex scientific data
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Strategic mindset combined with a collaborative and proactive approach
  • Business fluent German and English
  • Willingness to travel for meetings, congresses, and stakeholder engagement activities
