Group Vice President, Biologics Discovery & Development
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall biologics research strategy, portfolio planning, and execution across oncology and immunology therapeutic areas.
- Identify high-value opportunities based on unmet medical needs, scientific advancements, market dynamics, and competitive intelligence.
- Drive the discovery and development of differentiated biologic programs, including immunotherapies, multispecific antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), and other novel modalities.
- Provide scientific and technical leadership to overcome key research challenges and accelerate program progression from discovery through IND-enabling stages.
- Guide translational research and early clinical development strategies to maximize the probability of clinical success.
- Oversee multidisciplinary research teams spanning discovery biology, preclinical development, and process development while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Build and strengthen organizational capabilities through talent acquisition, mentoring, and scientific leadership.
- Support business development activities by providing scientific due diligence and strategic assessments for licensing and partnership opportunities.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Immunology, Oncology, Tumor Biology, or a related life sciences discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of biologics R&D experience within biotechnology or pharmaceutical organizations, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
- Proven experience advancing biologics programs from target identification through IND submission, with strong translational research expertise.
- Deep knowledge of tumor immunology, T-cell engager (TCE) platforms, checkpoint immunotherapy, ADC development, or related biologics fields.
- Demonstrated track record of progressing programs into clinical development and/or contributing to successful licensing transactions is highly preferred.
- Strong strategic thinking, scientific judgement, and ability to evaluate emerging technologies and competitive landscapes.
- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills within complex research environments.
- Bilingual - Able to communicate in Chinese and English
