Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Planner / Project Controls Engineer to support the successful delivery of major pharmaceutical and biotechnology capital projects in Copenhagen. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules while providing key project controls support to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

This role will work closely with project managers, engineering teams, contractors, and stakeholders to provide schedule analysis, progress reporting, forecasting, and project performance insights across all phases of the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Monitor project progress and identify schedule risks, delays, and opportunities.
  • Perform critical path analysis and provide recommendations to support project delivery.
  • Produce weekly and monthly project controls reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Support project forecasting, resource planning, and progress measurement activities.
  • Coordinate schedule updates with engineering, construction, CQV, and project management teams.
  • Track milestones, deliverables, and project performance against approved baselines.
  • Support risk management, change control, and recovery planning initiatives.
  • Facilitate planning workshops and schedule review meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure project controls processes are aligned with company standards and project objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in Project Planning, Project Controls, or Scheduling roles.
  • Experience supporting large-scale capital projects within pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, industrial, or engineering environments.
  • Strong proficiency with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Experience performing schedule analysis, forecasting, earned value management, and progress reporting.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery lifecycles including design, construction, commissioning, and qualification phases.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work within cross-functional project teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Pharmaceutical or biotechnology facility expansion projects.
  • GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Greenfield and brownfield capital projects.
  • Engineering, construction, CQV, and commissioning activities.
  • Data centres, industrial facilities, or large infrastructure projects.
