Procurement Specialist
Key Responsibilities
Carrier Sourcing & Procurement
- Source, approach, and evaluate parcel carriers across Germany and Central Europe.
- Lead end‑to‑end tender and RFQ processes, including market research, rate bench-marking, and bid evaluation.
- Negotiate commercial terms, rates, and contracts to secure competitive and scalable delivery solutions.
Carrier Relationship Management
- Manage ongoing relationships with parcel delivery partners, ensuring sustainable and mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and operational reviews with carriers.
- Support the development and strengthening of a high‑performing carrier network.
Cost & Market Analysis
- Maintain and update rate and pricing databases, ensuring accuracy across finance and operations teams.
- Analyse parcel‑market trends, cost structures, and carrier capabilities to inform procurement strategies.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, supply chain, finance) to optimise carrier selection and logistics processes.
- Participate in initiatives that improve procurement processes, performance, and automation.
Required Experience & Skills
- Experience in procurement, logistics sourcing, parcel logistics, or transport carrier negotiation.
- Proven background in running tenders, RFQs, RFPs, and commercial negotiations.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience managing rates, KPIs, or financial data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Fluency in English; German language skills strongly preferred.
- Based near Frankfurt or able to travel regionally as needed.
