Overview
A leading biopharmaceutical company dedicated to advancing innovative therapies is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join its Medical Affairs team. This role is instrumental in building and maintaining scientific relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals across the Northeast U.S. The MSL will support the dissemination of clinical and scientific information, contribute to research initiatives, and provide strategic insights to internal teams.
Territory: ME, VT, NH, MA, RI, CT, NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD
Residency Requirement: Candidates must reside within the designated region.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain peer-level relationships with medical experts and thought leaders.
- Communicate scientific data through credible, evidence-based presentations.
- Gather and relay clinical insights to inform medical strategy and product development.
- Support investigator-initiated studies (IIS) and other scientific collaborations.
- Deliver internal training and scientific support to cross-functional teams.
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Medical Science Liaison is required.
- Background in hematology or oncology is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to interpret and present complex scientific data.
- Strong collaboration skills and understanding of the drug development process.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a field-based role.
Education
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) preferred.
- Candidates without an advanced degree must have a minimum of 2 years in a medical affairs role.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range:
- $130,000 - $165,000 annually
- Eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive plan
