Manufacturing Engineer
Manufacturing Engineer - Medical Devices | Zurich, Switzerland
Our client, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their high-performing team in Zurich. They are looking for someone on an initial 6 month contract with the view to becoming permanent.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and improving production workflows, tools, and equipment.
- Supporting the integration of new products into existing manufacturing lines.
- Leading or contributing to process validation, change control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including QA, QC, R&D, and external suppliers.
- Managing technical documentation and ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA).
- Driving root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
Your Profile
We are looking for candidates who bring a strong technical foundation and a collaborative approach. Ideal qualifications include:
- Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role.
- Background in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or food production is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving tools.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems, QMS platforms, and CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
- Strong communication skills in both German and English.
