Laboratory Solution Design Specialist

Location: This person can be based in or around Maidenhead (UK), or anywhere in Germany or Poland.

This position involves leveraging expertise to support and drive sales growth and retention across the region through effective solution design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an expert and consultant in areas such as automation, workflow, value analysis, competitor offerings, and informatics.
  • Collect and analyze customer data, conduct workflow assessments, and develop detailed solution design reports with actionable insights.
  • Perform complex analyses, including valuation and total cost of ownership assessments.
  • Assist the commercial team in creating customer value propositions to drive sales growth and business retention.
  • Utilize extensive market, competitor, and product knowledge to develop strategic solution design activities.
  • Serve as a liaison, providing input to marketing, R&D, and sales teams for product and process development and improvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to deliver customer feedback, enhancing solutions and offerings.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Your Profile

  • Degree in science or business.
  • Preferred experience of five years in diagnostics and/or laboratory settings.
  • Experience with laboratory workflow and workflow improvement.
  • Strong background in automation, workflow, and/or IT hardware/software.
  • Understanding of molecular diagnostic laboratories.
  • Experience in laboratory informatics.
  • Strong grasp of how technology drives value in healthcare.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Proficient in client-facing solution demonstrations and presentations.
  • Skilled in EXCEL, Power BI, and Microsoft Office packages.
  • Knowledge of LEAN and/or Six Sigma principles and their application in laboratory and healthcare systems.
