Director, Sales Training (Surgical)

EPM Scientific is partnered with a leading U.S.-based surgical solutions company seeking a Director of Sales Training & Development. This organization offers a broad portfolio of products used across the operating room and is focused on driving innovation, efficiency, and patient safety.
This role will lead the strategy, design, and execution of commercial training programs to enhance sales performance and support continued global growth. You will partner closely with Product Management and commercial leadership to deliver high-impact training across live and digital platforms, enabling teams to effectively position a diverse surgical portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver commercial training on products, value propositions, and competitive positioning
- Lead engaging in-person and live training's
- Partner cross functionally to integrate product updates, market trends, and competitive insights
- Identify skill gaps and implement targeted development plans
- Coach sales teams on account strategy and complex deal execution
- Track training effectiveness and optimize based on performance data
- Support product launches
- Facilitate sales meetings and large-scale training events
- Manage external vendors and learning platforms
- Communicate training strategy and impact to leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 8 years of experience in sales and/or sales training within Medical Device (required)
- Ability to roll up sleeves and act as a player/coach
- Great experience in adult learning and sales enablement
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross functional stakeholders
- Experience with LMS platforms and e-learning tools (experience with Allego is a plus)
- Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and clinical understanding
- Self‑motivated, results‑driven leader with a track record of executing against goals with urgency and accountability.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to travel 30%, international travel may be required
