Director of HEOR Modeling
Key Responsibilities
Health Economic Modeling & Technical Leadership
- Provide strategic and technical guidance to internal project teams on all aspects of health economic modeling
- Advise and support teams during client-facing meetings, as needed
- Conduct critical reviews of project deliverables to ensure methodological rigor and high quality standards
- Provide technical input and/or review modifications to existing models to support local HTA and reimbursement submissions
- Partner with Project Managers to track project deliverables, timelines, invoicing, and revenue recognition
Team Development & Mentorship
- Foster a culture of continuous learning within the Economic Modeling department
- Lead and support training programs for new team members
- Mentor and coach staff during internal project team meetings
- Lead and facilitate regular weekly departmental meetings
- Continuously expand personal and departmental knowledge of emerging modeling methodologies and evolving payer requirements
Business Development & Client Engagement
- Lead the technical team in drafting and critically reviewing proposals for new model‑based projects
- Leverage established client relationships to generate new RFP opportunities
- Strengthen and maintain existing client relationships
- Support development of new client connections in collaboration with the Business Development team
- Partner with the Marketing department to support initiatives that enhance the CHEORS brand
Required Qualifications
Education
- PhD (preferred) or Master's degree in Health Economics, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related field
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience designing and developing health economic models
- Prior experience working within pharmaceutical companies is a plus
Technical Skills
- Advanced expertise in Excel/VBA-based model development
- Working knowledge of R and/or C++ is desirable
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and research skills
Leadership & Communication
- Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams
- Proven ability to engage effectively with clients across the life sciences industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Track record of scientific publications and professional presentations
Professional Competencies
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build credibility and strong relationships at all organizational levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
