CNC Programmer
CNC Programmer (SolidCAM)
We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join a high-performing manufacturing team. This role will focus on developing and optimising CNC programs to support efficient, high-quality production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and optimise CNC programs using SolidCAM
- Work across a variety of machining operations including:
- 3 and 5-axis milling
- Mill-turn machines
- Sliding head / Swiss-type lathes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on cycle time reduction and process efficiency
- Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate closely with production and quality teams to ensure manufacturing standards are met
- Support new product introductions and process validation where required
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in CNC machining and programming
- Strong hands-on experience with CAM software (ideally SolidCAM)
- Proven experience with milling and mill-turn operations
- Knowledge of sliding head / Swiss-type machining advantageous
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to optimise machining processes
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
