CNC Programmer (SolidCAM)

We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join a high-performing manufacturing team. This role will focus on developing and optimising CNC programs to support efficient, high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and optimise CNC programs using SolidCAM
  • Work across a variety of machining operations including:
    • 3 and 5-axis milling
    • Mill-turn machines
    • Sliding head / Swiss-type lathes
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on cycle time reduction and process efficiency
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate closely with production and quality teams to ensure manufacturing standards are met
  • Support new product introductions and process validation where required

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in CNC machining and programming
  • Strong hands-on experience with CAM software (ideally SolidCAM)
  • Proven experience with milling and mill-turn operations
  • Knowledge of sliding head / Swiss-type machining advantageous
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to optimise machining processes
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
