I'm currently working with a highly innovative international medical technology company that is pushing the boundaries of complex coronary PCI and is looking to appoint a Clinical Specialist - Interventional Cardiology to cover Belgium and Luxembourg.
This organisation designs and manufactures a differentiated portfolio of interventional cardiology devices in‑house, supporting complex angioplasty and chronic total occlusion (CTO) procedures. Their technologies are widely recognised for improving procedural outcomes and supporting advanced coronary interventions.
Mission & Impact
In this role, you will provide high‑quality clinical support, training, and education to users of a specialised catheter portfolio for complex PCI and CTOs. You will work closely with interventional cardiologists in the cath lab while collaborating internally with commercial and management teams to support product adoption and clinical excellence.
This is a highly field‑based clinical role with extensive travel across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands‑on clinical support during complex PCI and CTO procedures in the cath lab
- Ensure optimal use of the product portfolio through clinical expertise and procedural guidance
- Coordinate and support user centres via presentations, case reviews, and clinical discussions
- Organise and deliver training programmes for new and existing customers to enhance product use and clinical outcomes
- Collaborate with regional sales managers to support new product launches and drive adoption within existing accounts
- Continuously build and maintain strong product knowledge and stay current with developments in interventional cardiology
- Represent the company at symposia, congresses, and scientific meetings
- Provide internal reporting and collaborate closely with colleagues and management
Background & Experience
- Cath lab nurse in interventional cardiology with a minimum of 3 years' experience,
or a biomedical engineer with initial professional experience in interventional cardiology - Strong clinical credibility with the ability to build and maintain long‑term customer relationships
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable working as part of a team
- High level of flexibility and willingness to travel up to 80% of the time within the region
- Ability to communicate ideas and technical information clearly and effectively
- Fluency in English, plus Dutch and/or French strongly preferred
- Valid driving licence required
