Sales Specialist, Japan
We are working with a growing Biotechnology company that is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales Specialist in Japan. The successful candidate will be engaged in sales for their analytical consumable instruments, and experience in sales of equipment for sample preparation or solid phase related products are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage key customer accounts with a focus on long-term business growth.
- Develop and implement customer-specific sales strategies, including account plans and revenue forecasts.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through targeted prospecting and relationship-building activities.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing proactive and responsive support.
- Serve as a technical advisor to customers, offering expert guidance on product selection, application solutions, and customization options.
- Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and on-site customer training.
- Support complex troubleshooting and product optimization efforts in collaboration with the technical support team.
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
- Develop targeted sales campaigns based on market insights and customer feedback.
- Provide actionable market intelligence to internal teams to inform product development and marketing initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, or a related field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in analytical instrument consumables or life science products.
- Deep knowledge of HPLC, LC-MS, sample preparation techniques, and analytical workflows.
- Ability to interpret complex technical data and present it effectively.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and managing key accounts.
- Strong experience in B2B sales, contract negotiation, and account management.
- Fluent in Japanese (native level) and English (business level).
- Ability to communicate technical and business concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
