Rare Disease Sales Specialist

EPM Scientific is currently partnered with a mid-sized pharmaceutical company focused in Rare Disease and Endocrinology. They have an exciting new sales role open in Gainesville, GA as part of an expansion.

Job Title: Rare Disease Sales Specialist
Territory: Gainesville, GA & surrounding areas
Therapy Area: Rare Disease/Endocrinology

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key prescribers and thought leaders within the territory to drive brand awareness and product loyalty.
  • Leverage deep knowledge of the therapeutic area, competitive landscape, market dynamics, and cross-functional strategies to identify and manage business opportunities and challenges.
  • Develop and execute tailored territory plans, sharing actionable insights with internal teams to inform strategy.
  • Strategically prioritize time and resources to ensure optimal engagement with high-potential physician specialists.
  • Organize and participate in educational initiatives, including speaker programs and dinner events.
  • Manage territory budget and expenses in alignment with sales and marketing objectives.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries, including recent experience within endocrinology, diabetes, cardiovascular, or cardiology.
  • Experience in endocrinology, specialty therapeutics, hospital settings, or orphan drug markets.
  • Demonstrated history of consistent high performance in sales roles.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across functions.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 100%, including up to 40% overnight travel.
  • Must maintain a driving record that meets company vehicle policy standards.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
