Medical Manager
Key Responsibilities Clinical Program Delivery
- Support delivery of global clinical development programs
- Provide medical oversight to ensure study quality, timelines, and budget adherence
- Communicate program progress, risks, and updates to senior leadership
- Contribute to Clinical Affairs strategy and cross-functional alignment
- Support implementation of Quality by Design principles across studies
Medical Monitoring & Clinical Development
- Provide medical monitoring across clinical trials
- Develop and maintain Medical Monitoring Plans
- Support protocol development and review
- Contribute to Case Report Form design and clinical documentation
- Review and interpret clinical and pharmacovigilance data
- Support preparation of Clinical Study Reports
Site & Scientific Engagement
- Build relationships with investigators, physicians, and external experts
- Participate in investigator meetings and scientific discussions
- Act as the primary medical contact for study sites and project teams
- Provide scientific and technical leadership across programs
- Gather and communicate medical field intelligence
Compliance & Pharmacovigilance
- Provide pharmacovigilance support for clinical and post-authorisation studies
- Ensure compliance with ICH GCP and applicable regulations
- Support audit readiness and regulatory inspections
- Maintain high standards of quality and clinical governance
Operational Excellence
- Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Support clinical trial modernisation and digital initiatives
- Assist with development of SOPs and clinical processes
- Contribute to strategic planning across the clinical portfolio
Leadership & Representation
- Provide therapeutic area training to internal stakeholders
- Support scientific communications and external engagement
- Represent the organisation at scientific meetings and conferences
- Engage with health authorities when required
Requirements
- MD (Doctor of Medicine) qualification required
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Medical Manager, Clinical Development, Clinical Research or similar physician-led role
- Experience in medical monitoring within clinical trials
- Strong knowledge of ICH GCP and international clinical research regulations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management capabilities
- Ability to work independently and influence cross-functional teams
- Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom
