I'm currently working with an exceptional, fast‑growing medical technology company who are looking to appoint a Global Training & Education Lead to build and scale their education function internationally.

This is a senior, high‑impact role within an innovative cardiovascular-focused MedTech organisation that has recently secured significant funding and is expanding its clinical and commercial footprint across Europe and the US.

Overview

The Global Training & Education Lead will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing world‑class training programmes for healthcare professionals, internal teams, and external partners. The focus is on ensuring best‑in‑class education across device, disease, and therapy, supporting clinical excellence and successful adoption of a novel technology used in the cath lab environment.

The role is home‑based in Europe with approximately 50% international travel.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a global training and education strategy aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Design and deliver engaging education programmes for external stakeholders, including support for KOLs in developing and delivering educational content
  • Apply adult learning principles to continuously improve training effectiveness
  • Build structured learning pathways for internal teams, ensuring deep expertise across:
    • Medical device technology
    • Disease state education
    • Relevant drug and therapy knowledge
  • Enable field-based training teams to deliver consistent, high-quality education globally
  • Identify knowledge and skill gaps and implement targeted training solutions
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with R&D, Clinical, and Compliance teams to ensure training materials are accurate, current, and compliant with EU and FDA requirements
  • Monitor training outcomes using analytics, feedback, and certification metrics, driving continuous improvement
  • Establish relationships with medical institutions, professional societies, and thought leaders to expand educational reach
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, clinical practice changes, and regulatory developments

Experience & Background

  • Proven leadership experience in global training, education, or professional development within medical devices or pharmaceuticals
  • Strong understanding of the cardiovascular space, with the ability to translate complex clinical concepts into impactful educational programmes
  • Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Comfortable working in international, cross‑cultural environments
  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to ~50%)
  • Degree in life sciences, healthcare, education, or a related discipline; postgraduate or professional certifications are a plus
