Automation Engineer
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimise automation solutions across warehouse or manufacturing environments
- Support and maintain systems such as WCS, PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and robotics platforms
- Lead or contribute to full lifecycle automation projects (design through to go-live and support)
- Perform system testing, validation, and commissioning activities
- Troubleshoot complex automation issues and minimise operational downtime
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, IT, and engineering
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within automated environments
- Contribute to documentation, validation protocols, and change management processes in regulated settings
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years' experience in industrial or warehouse automation
- Strong technical expertise in automation and control systems
- Experience with automated material handling systems (AMRs, AGVs, conveyors, robotics)
- Proven ability to deliver automation projects end-to-end
- Familiarity with industry-standard platforms (PLC, SCADA, HMI)
- Understanding of industrial networking and system integration
- Fluent in French and English (Dutch advantageous)
- Experience in regulated/GMP environments or validation processes is beneficial
- Knowledge of programming or analytics tools is a plus
