Senior Director Clinical Development (Ophthalmology)

The Senior Director of Clinical Development will lead the strategic planning and execution of clinical programs in ophthalmology, driving innovative therapies from early development through pivotal trials, across various eye disease areas. This role is critical in shaping the clinical vision, ensuring scientific rigor, and maintaining regulatory compliance across global studies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and oversee clinical development plans for ophthalmology assets, from Phase I through Phase III.
• Lead cross-functional teams including Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and Medical Affairs.
• Serve as the clinical expert in interactions with regulatory agencies, key opinion leaders, and external partners.
• Interpret clinical data and contribute to publications, presentations, and regulatory submissions.
• Ensure patient safety and data integrity throughout all clinical activities.

Qualifications:

• MD, with board certification in ophthalmology preferred.
• 10+ years of clinical development experience, with significant expertise in ophthalmology.
• Proven track record in leading global clinical trials and regulatory submissions.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, global acumen and communication skills.
