Overview

We are partnering with a global medical technology organisation developing advanced imaging systems used within highly regulated healthcare environments.

They are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer (C++) to support the development of next-generation imaging platforms, working at the intersection of software, hardware, cameras, sensors and image-processing technologies.

This role would suit an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and contributing to products that have real-world impact.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance software applications in C++
• Work closely with teams responsible for cameras, sensors and processing systems
• Support the acquisition, analysis and processing of image data
• Contribute to system architecture and technical decision-making
• Develop and validate algorithms using MATLAB
• Collaborate with global engineering teams
• Drive software quality, maintainability and performance
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring where required

Required Skills

• Extensive commercial experience with C++
• Strong MATLAB experience
• Experience working with image-processing, computer vision or imaging systems
• Understanding of hardware/software interaction
• Experience working with cameras, sensors or complex technical devices
• Strong software design and architecture experience
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
