Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced FREELANCER Senior CapEx Procurement Lead to support a major biologic facility expansion project. This interim role will be instrumental in managing strategic sourcing and supplier engagement for capital investments, ensuring timely and compliant delivery of infrastructure and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities for capital projects including cleanroom construction, bioreactor sourcing, and facility upgrades.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies tailored to project timelines and regulatory requirements.
• Negotiate supplier contracts and manage vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and high-quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Engineering, Finance, Legal, Quality) to align procurement with project goals.
• Provide expert guidance on risk mitigation, compliance, and supplier performance.
• Deliver procurement reporting and insights to senior leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
• Operate independently while integrating with cross-functional teams as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years in procurement, with significant experience in CapEx projects within life sciences or manufacturing.
• Proven success in freelance or interim roles managing complex capital investments.
• Strong understanding of GMP standards and pharmaceutical facility requirements.
• Excellent negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.
