Senior Analytical Chemist
Our client is a global pharmaceutical and healthcare organization focused on the research, development, and commercialization of innovative therapies for rare, genetic, metabolic, and acute medical conditions, as well as solutions for broader patient populations. They are expanding their R&D presence in Singapore and are seeking a Senior Analytical Chemist to support the advancement of their product pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and validate analytical methods for raw materials, formulations, and stability samples in compliance with relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH).
- Troubleshoot and optimize analytical techniques and resolve method-related issues independently.
- Develop and validate in vitro testing methods such as dissolution or transdermal assays.
- Conduct routine laboratory testing internally and coordinate with external labs where required.
- Present analytical findings clearly and effectively to management.
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of all laboratory activities in line with GLP standards.
- Ensure laboratory cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and adherence to calibration schedules.
- Enforce laboratory safety practices and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal safety standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in analytical chemistry within a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation, including HPLC and UV-Vis spectrophotometry.
- Familiarity with LC/MS techniques is advantageous.
- Good understanding of ICH guidelines related to analytical method development and validation.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
