Senior Accountant - Revenue, Contractor

Overview

We are supporting a growing pharmaceutical organization seeking a Senior Accountant - Revenue Contractor to assist with upcoming month-end close activities and provide ongoing support through the audit cycle. This is an immediate need, and the ideal candidate will have strong Gross-to-Net (GTN) accounting experience within the life sciences sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities related to revenue accounting.
• Manage and analyze Gross-to-Net reserves, including rebates, chargebacks, returns, and discounts.
• Review and reconcile managed care, wholesaler, and distribution data.
• Partner with third-party providers, including 3PL organizations, to ensure accurate revenue reporting.
• Support SOX compliance and internal control activities.
• Prepare account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting audit documentation.
• Collaborate with Finance, Commercial, Market Access, and Accounting stakeholders.
• Assist with year-end audit preparation and external auditor requests.
• Identify process improvements and support revenue accounting best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 4-5+ years of Gross-to-Net (GTN) experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industry.
• 10+ years of overall accounting or finance experience.
• Strong understanding of revenue accounting and month-end close processes.
• Experience with rebates, chargebacks, managed care, and distribution-related accounting.
• Experience working with 3PL providers and third-party data sources.
• Strong knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• NetSuite ERP experience.
• CPA or equivalent accounting qualification.
• Public company experience.
• Experience supporting external audits.
• Advanced Excel skills.
