SAP Finance Functional Consultant (Contract - Outside IR35)

Location: UK (Hybrid Working Available)

Contract Duration: Initial 6 months (Potential Extension)

Overview

A leading healthcare and manufacturing organisation is embarking on a major ERP transformation programme and is seeking an experienced SAP Finance Functional Consultant to support finance process alignment, ERP deployment activities, and business readiness.

Working closely with Finance, Operations, and Project stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring the finance workstream is prepared for implementation and that existing processes are successfully transitioned into the future-state environment. This is an opportunity to join a high-profile transformation programme at a critical stage, supporting everything from process design through to data migration and deployment readiness.

Key Responsibilities

* Support the finance workstream within a large-scale ERP transformation programme.

* Facilitate workshops with Finance and Business stakeholders to gather, validate, and document requirements.

* Review existing finance processes and support the design of future-state processes.

* Support data migration activities, including data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation. Assist with ERP deployment planning and business readiness activities.

* Work closely with project teams, finance leaders, and implementation partners.

* Provide functional guidance on finance-related ERP processes and business flows.

* Support testing, process validation, and user acceptance activities where required.

* Identify process improvement opportunities and help drive adoption of new ways of working.

* Assist with training materials, documentation, and transition activities leading up to go-live.

Required Experience

* Strong SAP Finance functional consulting experience.

* Previous involvement in ERP implementation, migration, or transformation programmes.

* Deep understanding of core finance processes including: o General Ledger (GL) o Accounts Payable / Receivable o Cost Centres o Financial Reporting o Invoicing o Asset Accounting

* Experience working directly with Finance and Business stakeholders.

* Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills.

* Ability to operate comfortably in project-driven environments.

Preferred Experience

* SAP ECC6 experience.

* Experience supporting manufacturing or supply-chain organisations.

* ERP separation, carve-out, or business transformation experience.

* Exposure to data migration and finance process harmonisation initiatives.

* Previous work within regulated industries.
