R&D Scientist - Bioprocess Development
EPM is currently seeking an experienced freelance R&D Scientist with a strong focus on bioprocess development and purification to join a leading global Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research and development in the field of bioprocess sciences, supporting the advancement of innovative technologies and therapeutic products.
This lab-based position will be instrumental in designing, optimizing, and executing purification processes that are critical to the development of scalable and robust manufacturing solutions. You will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment alongside multidisciplinary teams dedicated to delivering high-quality results that meet industry standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand study goals and problem statements to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Assist in developing and running high-throughput (HTP) workflows for process studies.
- Help set up and configure HTP equipment for reliable monitoring and data collection.
- Identify risks to study execution and support mitigation planning.
- Collaborate with senior team members to prepare study plans and documentation.
- Execute HTP studies following established protocols and timelines.
- Perform initial data analysis to support process development.
- Contribute to improving HTP workflows for better efficiency and integration.
- Provide purification support during technology implementation in cross-functional teams.
Candidate Requirements:
- A degree in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Chemical Engineering (BSc/MSc required; PhD preferred).
- Proven hands-on experience in laboratory settings, particularly in purification techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with GLP and quality control procedures is a plus.
