Quality Control Manager (m\f\d)
We are looking for an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead and develop QC activities within a dynamic life‑science production environment in the Wallonia region.
In this role, you will oversee the overall functioning of the Quality Control team, ensuring compliance with internal quality systems and external regulatory standards. You will guide daily operations, support analytical activities, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Your Responsibilities
- Oversee the organisation and performance of the Quality Control team
- Supervise analytical procedures and ensure timely release of raw materials and finished products
- Manage departmental training programs and support staff development
- Oversee data recording, review, trending, and ensure data integrity
- Ensure QC release processes are executed according to quality standards
- Supervise method validation activities, documentation, and study reports
- Lead investigations, manage deviations, and follow up on CAPAs
- Manage change control, equipment maintenance, calibration requirements, and non‑conformances
- Monitor subcontracted laboratory activities
- Maintain QC metrics and contribute to continuous improvement
- Develop and update procedures, SOPs, and departmental documentation
- Monitor budget use for assigned cost centers
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., chemistry, biology, pharmacy)
- Strong experience in quality control within a laboratory or production environment
- Knowledge of QC methodologies (chemistry and/or biological testing)
- Understanding of GMP, ISO standards, and quality systems
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage complex tasks and guide teams
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
- Experience with systems such as SAP or TrackWise is an asset
- Fluency in French and English
