Medical Science Liaison Manager (MSL) - Specialty Care (m/f/d)

A global, research‑driven pharmaceutical organisation is seeking a Medical Science Liaison Manager (MSL) to support its specialty care portfolio across Germany. The company focuses on high‑quality medicines, medical innovation, and strong cross-functional collaboration to improve patient outcomes.


Your Responsibilities

1. Scientific Exchange & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, clinical experts, and medical institutions.
  • Conduct scientific discussions on therapeutic areas, clinical data, and treatment pathways.
  • Present newly generated evidence and data.
  • Organize advisory boards, expert meetings, and scientific training sessions.
  • Support interpretation and implementation of clinical guidelines and treatment standards.
  • Create individual engagement plans for regionally relevant stakeholders.

2. Medical Education & Scientific Projects

  • Initiate and support medical-scientific projects, real-world data activities, and publications.
  • Prepare and deliver scientific materials (slides, webinars, training content).
  • Organize workshops, case sessions, and medical trainings.
  • Train healthcare professionals on product use, dosing, titration, and safety management.
  • Contribute to aligning patient pathways and referral processes.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams (medical, marketing, market access, commercial) to support medical strategy execution.
  • Provide medical insights from the field to help refine brand plans and tactical initiatives.
  • Support regional landscape analysis, including KOL mapping and care structure assessments.
  • Develop programs to enhance HCP engagement and patient identification.

4. Compliance & Drug Safety

  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant guidelines and pharmaceutical regulations.
  • Provide unbiased, non-promotional scientific information on request.
  • Support drug safety processes and reporting requirements.

5. Market Development & Analysis

  • Identify unmet medical needs and gaps in care across regions.
  • Monitor scientific, clinical, and competitive trends.
  • Support account planning with cross-functional teams.

Your Profile

    • Degree in medicine, pharmacy, or natural sciences; further qualifications are an advantage.
    • Several years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, in a medical affairs or MSL function.
    • Strong background in specialty care with the ability to quickly learn new therapeutic areas.
    • Fluent in German and English.
    • High willingness to travel within Germany.
    • Confident use of common digital tools and systems.
    • Experience in cross-functional environments and complex organisational structures.
    • Strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
