Key Account Manager
We are currently partnering with a specialized pharmaceutical organization that is committed to improving outcomes in infectious diseases across Switzerland. They are looking for an ambitious Key Account Manager based in Switzerland.
You will be responsible for:
- Building and nurturing strategic relationships with decision-makers across hospitals and healthcare institutions within your region.
- Designing and executing customized account strategies that consider local organizational structures, funding models, and clinical pathways.
- Acting as a trusted partner to hospital stakeholders by identifying mutual value opportunities aligned with infectious disease and critical‑care treatment areas.
- Delivering against regional commercial objectives by driving sales performance, profitability, and portfolio growth.
- Positioning and promoting the hospital-focused product range to pharmacists, clinicians, procurement teams, and health‑economic influencers.
- Developing in‑depth knowledge of regional healthcare systems, hospital financing mechanisms, and reimbursement frameworks.
- Supporting access and listing processes, collaborating closely with Market Access and HEOR teams, and tailoring value messages to local needs.
- Monitoring market developments, competitive activity, and policy changes to identify opportunities and risks.
An ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:
- Demonstrated success launching and introducing medicines within the hospital environment.
- Strong experience negotiating with hospital stakeholders as a Key Account Manager in pharma, biotech, or hospital-focused portfolios.
- Background in anti-infectives or antifungals is a strong advantage.
- University-level education in life sciences, pharmacy, or a comparable field.
- Solid understanding of pricing dynamics and negotiation within hospital pharmacies.
- Experience launching rare‑disease therapies is considered valuable.
- Excellent communication and presentation capabilities with healthcare professionals and opinion leaders.
- Fluency in German is required; French and English are beneficial.
