Title: Head of Machine Learning

Location: Boston, MA (preferred) OR San Francisco, CA

Salary: $250,000-$350,000

Equity: Founder-level stock

As a Founding Machine Learning Researcher, you'll join a small, elite team of AI scientists, drug discovery experts, and seasoned biotech leaders working at the intersection of technology and medicine.

This is a rare opportunity to help build the foundational technology of a company focused on translating AI into real-world therapies. You'll work directly with the founding team, contribute to the scientific direction, and receive founder-level equity-reflecting the impact and ownership expected from early team members.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement novel ML architectures for modeling biological sequences, structures, and interactions.
• Analyze large-scale, noisy biological datasets to uncover therapeutic insights.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to translate models into real drug programs.
• Help shape the company's technical roadmap and research strategy.

Basic Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent research experience in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Computational Biology, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch.
• Proven ability to develop, train, and evaluate machine learning models.
• Experience working with high-dimensional biological or scientific data.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Significant contribution / impact to AI/ML measured via open source collaborations or works publised in top-tier AI / Scientific venues
