Freelance Logistics Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist to support a leading medical device client based in the Netherlands. This is a full-time freelance contract for 12 months, offering a hybrid working model with a mix of remote and onsite collaboration.

The successful candidate will play a key role in optimising supply chain operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting distribution activities across the EU region.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end logistics operations including inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics
• Coordinate with 3PL providers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant delivery
• Monitor and improve inventory accuracy, order fulfilment, and transportation efficiency
• Support implementation and optimisation of logistics systems (e.g., SAP, WMS)
• Ensure compliance with medical device regulations and quality standards (e.g., ISO 13485, MDR)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, quality, and customer service
• Prepare reports and KPIs to track performance and identify improvement opportunities

Requirements

• Proven experience in logistics or supply chain roles, ideally within the medical device or healthcare sector
• Strong understanding of EU logistics regulations and practices
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and warehouse management tools
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
