Clinical Research Specialist (Germany or Italy)

EPM is working with a leading medical technology company that is expanding its European clinical team and is seeking a Clinical Research Specialist to support ongoing and upcoming cardiology-focused clinical studies.

This role is ideal for someone with direct MedTech clinical research experience and a strong background in cardiology, looking to join a high-growth, innovation-driven environment.

Role Overview

The Clinical Research Specialist will support the planning, execution, and delivery of clinical trials, working closely with investigational sites, CROs, and internal cross‑functional teams across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution and monitoring of clinical studies in compliance with GCP, ISO 14155, MDR, and local regulations
  • Act as a primary contact for clinical sites, supporting site selection, initiation, training, and ongoing communication
  • Coordinate with CROs and internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality data collection and trial execution
  • Support clinical documentation, including protocols, CRFs, TMF, and study reports
  • Assist with regulatory and ethics submissions and study maintenance activities
  • Provide clinical and procedural support during cardiology cases, where required

Required Background

  • Degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, or a related field
  • Hands-on clinical research experience within medical devices
  • Strong cardiology experience, ideally within interventional cardiology, structural heart, or pulmonary vascular therapies
  • Solid understanding of GCP, ISO 14155, and MDR requirements
  • Experience working with hospitals, cath labs, and clinical investigators
  • Fluent in English (German or Italian language skills are a strong advantage)
  • Willingness to travel to clinical sites as required
