About the Role
A leading biotech company in Brussels is looking for an experienced Freelance Category Manager to support its R&D procurement function. You'll lead strategic sourcing initiatives for outsourced research services, ensuring supplier excellence and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for R&D categories (e.g., CROs, lab services, clinical supplies).
• Lead RFx processes, supplier negotiations, and contract finalization.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across R&D, Legal, Finance, and Quality.
• Ensure supplier compliance with GxP and other regulatory frameworks.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Deliver cost savings and value creation aligned with business goals.

Ideal Profile

• Proven experience in biotech/pharma procurement, ideally in R&D categories.
• Strong understanding of GxP and clinical development processes.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English; French or Dutch is a plus.
• Available to start within 2-4 weeks.
